Hunde können nicht weinen / Dogs don’t cry
A Hometown Entertainment Production. TV Series. Dramedy. A TV series from Frankfurt, Germany, bridging generations and bringing back the free spirit of the 80s.
Hunde können nicht weinen
is a captivating TV series that delves into the life of Ronald Antonius Prinz, a once-famous rockstar from the 80s. With his glory days behind him, Ronnie finds himself living a monotonous life until he’s confronted by two unexpected arrivals: Nae, a rebellious 18-year-old who claims to be his daughter, and Freddie, his eccentric former bandmate freshly released from a psychiatric hospital.
This quirky and heartwarming series follows Ronnie and his colorful entourage as they navigate their chaotic return to the limelight, filled with disastrous performances and emotional breakthroughs. Set against the backdrop of a generational clash between the analog rock era and the digital world, the series combines dark humor and social satire to explore themes of identity, midlife crises, and the true meaning of success. Amidst the nostalgia-laden music of the 80s and the evolving digital landscape, the characters‘ pursuit of personal happiness takes center stage, proving more valuable than fame or fortune.
